Propane Patio Heaters Taking Outdoor Entertaining by Storm

As we start preparing for cooler weather, we’ll be getting ready to start using our outdoor patio heaters.  Propane patio heaters provide warmth and comfort to help you use your outdoor spaces year-round.  Check out the benefits of these heaters and the different style options they offer:

Benefits

Propane patio heaters allow you to extend your time outside even as the temperatures begin to drop. In 2020 we saw an increase in patio heater sales due to more restaurants and businesses extending their seating outdoors. Propane patio heaters were a great aid in this effort as they provide consistent heat for long periods of time.

Heat Efficiency

Propane patio heaters provide substantial heat to their surrounding area. In fact, propane patio heaters are proven to raise the outdoor temperature up to 25 degrees Fahrenheit. They also provide a circle of radiant heat up to 25 feet in diameter, keeping much of the surrounding area warm and comfortable. Also, one 5-gallon propane tank can power a portable outdoor heater for up to 10 hours- that’s a significant amount of extra time you can be enjoying your outdoor spaces.

Style Options

There are many different propane patio heater options available to fit your taste and style. For starters, you can choose between a permanent or portable patio heater. The portable option is more common and is used in many backyard and restaurant settings. These freestanding portable heaters tend to sit on the ground and can be moved from place to place. Portable outdoor heaters also come in many different styles of from standing to pyramid, to cylinder, depending on your preference and intended use. Permanent patio heaters are another available option. These heaters are commonly found mounted on the ceiling of a building while being operated by a remote control. These are more common for buildings and establishments with permanent outdoor entertaining spaces.

Safety

Many propane outdoor heaters have safety features to prevent accidents from occurring. A common safety feature that many portable heaters have is an anti-tilt feature. This feature reduces the risk of your heater tipping over if it happens to get bumped or moved during operation. Many high-end patio heaters also have a safety feature in place that will automatically shut off the burner if the sensor indicates the heater has been tipped over. Another safety feature that is found is the lack of a naked flame in standing portable options. These options do not have a naked flame like what is found in a pyramid or cylinder heater. This reduces the risk of an unlikely safety mishap occurring. Because of this, they tend to be more commonly used in backyard residential settings.

Propane powered patio heaters are a safe and convenient option to heat your backyard or entertaining space on colder occasions. With their heat efficiency, safety features, and array of styles, you will be sure to find one that suits your home.
